Top 10 Tracks of 2015: Bairbre Anne

It is coming up to the end of another year, there was some fantastic music released this year with some great new artists making a big name for themselves on an international level. As the year had so many great songs I decided to start a feature on the top ten tracks of 2015. I have asked a few people within the music industry to compile a list of their favourite tracks of 2015.

Check out the fourth list provided by Irish musician Bairbre Anne.

10. Caribou – Can’t Do Without You

I went to Primavera festival in Barcelona at the start of the summer … what a weekend! This song brings me right back to it and all of the summer dancing.

9. The Preatures – Cruel (Client Liaison Remix)

This remix is far better than the original in my opinion. Eighties vibes! An Australian band that I hope are going to make their way to Dublin soon!

8. Natalie Prass – Why Don’t You Believe In Me

I saw Ms. Prass perform at Body & Soul this year and I fell in love! Her new album is a stunner and the instrumentation on this song in particular gets me every time!

7. Vulfpeck – Back Pocket

I went on an epic boat trip in October and this song was basically the theme song for a weekend on the Shannon! What a band, what a tune!

6. Jack Garratt – Worry

I discovered this guy on Spotify during the summer and now he’s only gone and won the Critics Choice award, need I say more!

5. Florence and the Machine – St. Jude

Going through a break up? You need this song in your life!! Another amazing album from 2015!

4. Father John Misty – Chateau Lobby #4 (in C for Two Virgins)

“People are boring, but you’re something else completely, I can’t explain”. Some of my favourite lyrics. Probably my favourite gig of 2015, such a performance!

3. Lianne La Havas – Green & Gold

A super sleek and sexy song. Pretty much like her. Seeing her live in 2016 is on the to do list!

2. Gabrielle Aplin – Shallow Love

That song that you always sing backing vocals to whilst driving - that is this song for me! Got to hear her sing it live recently - just gorgeous.

1. Courtney Barnett – Pedestrian At Best

Pure attitude. This song makes me feel better about life. Fuck it.
