Top 10 Tracks of 2015: Orla Gartland

It is coming up to the end of another year, there was some fantastic music released this year with some great new artists making a big name for themselves on an international level. As the year had so many great songs I decided to start a feature on the top ten tracks of 2015. I have asked a few people within the music industry to compile a list of their favourite tracks of 2015.

Check out the fifth list provided by Irish musician Orla Gartland.

10. Hudson Taylor – Just A Thought

Brilliant punchy track from one of my fave debut albums 🙂 LOVE.

9. Hippo Campus – Suicide Saturday

Saw these guys play Brighton over the summer and fell in love. Perfectly dreamy guitar band.. Good vibes all round.

8. Fickle Friends – Say No More

This band is amazing, love these guys. Such feel good summery music! HOOKS FOR DAYS

7. The Staves – Sadness Don’t Own Me

One of the most beautiful songs I've maybe ever heard. Justin vernon's production on this song / album is just the icing on the cake - heartbreaking both lyrically & melodically!

6. The 1975 – Love Me

As such a big fan of the first 1975 album I found the new sound a little hard to digest as first but once I got into it I was hooked. Such a good groooooove.

5. Gavin James – 22

Gav gives me so much hope for Irish music. Voice of an angel. The lyrics in this track melt me!

4. Gabrielle Aplin – Sweet Nothing

TUNE. Makes me feel warm & fuzzy inside.

3. The Coronas – Just Like That

This whole album for the Coronas lads is brilliant. Indie band perfection - especially love the guitar licks!

2. Aurora – Running With The Wolves

After bagging the John Lewis Christmas ad this gal is destined for big things next year - I love this track so much. Ethereal pop!

1. Sufjan Stevens – Should Have Known Better

Love this whole album but this particular song really tugs at the heartstrings! Love Stevens' lyrics most of all.
